Thursday, December 10th, 7:00 p.m. The ParkerAcademy Campus, 2 Fisk Rd. Concord As the cost of college continues to grow at exponential rates, parents are stymied by how they will be able to afford the best possible education for their child. No student should be denied an education because the cost is too high. College financial aid packages and external scholarships can make even the most expensive, four-year universities accessible. This workshop, presented by our college counselor, Jaime Caryl-Klika, will focus on what parents need to know about the world of financial aid. Parents will learn about the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and the CSS Profile Form (for private colleges and universities); merit and need based aid; need sensitive vs. need blind admission; as well as local and national scholarship searches. Jaime worked in University admissions for nearly 10 years. During her tenure at ColgateUniversity, she served on the Admission & Aid committee and coordinated the University's most prestigious scholarship program. Jaime joined the staff of Tutoring & Instructional Services in 2007 and has helped many families navigate the college search and financial aid process. To RSVP please call 228-4209 by December 6th
